Dear Friends,
Thank you for your ongoing support of Operation Woosah, a cause that means so much to us. We’ve always been honored to give back to our community, and each year, this project allows us to make a difference in the lives of those who have served. However, after much reflection over the past few weeks, we feel that our help is needed in a different way this year.
One of our major suppliers, Get Real Stone, has been deeply affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Among those hit hardest is Clifton Hollifield, a long-time employee, and his wife. Their home in North Carolina was struck by a mudslide during the storm, trapping them both inside. Cliff, despite suffering a broken back, managed to dig himself out and get help to rescue his wife. While we’re thankful they both survived, they tragically lost their entire home, belongings, and cherished pets.
In light of their situation, we’ve made the difficult decision to redirect our 2024 Operation Woosah budget to support the Hollifield family as they begin to rebuild their lives. In addition to our own donation, we will also be donating 15% of all sales from Get Real Stone products to this fund. We sincerely hope that other customers and partners of Get Real Stone will join us in rallying behind the Hollifields during this challenging time.
We look forward to bringing back Operation Woosah in 2025 and appreciate your understanding as we focus our efforts on helping the Hollifields this year. Thank you for standing with us in support of those in need.
With gratitude,
Jay and Angie Kent
Nominations are open! Operation Woosah 2024 is currently accepting nominations and the winner will be announced on Veteran’s Day.
Operation Woosah represents our humble effort to give back to those who have served our country, whether they are active duty, reserves, or a veteran. We invite our community to nominate friends, neighbors, and relatives who have served and could benefit from a free patio or another small project, supplied by us and crafted with the labor generously donated by a local contractor.
Our Criteria for Assistance:
- Each case will be evaluated individually to determine the extent of assistance we can provide.
- While self-nominations are welcome, we encourage nominations from the community.
- We seek individuals who are comfortable with sharing their stories on our social media platforms.
Together, let’s make a positive impact on our community. Your nominations will play a vital role in connecting us with those who deserve a nice space to unwind. Thank you for joining us in this mission of thanking our local military members.

Operation Woosah: 2023 Winner
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here – the big reveal of Operation Woosah 2023! As we unveil this year’s project, we want to share the inspiring story behind it and the incredible individual it honors.
Meet LCpl Hook, a courageous Marine who served with distinction during three tours in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. LCpl Hook’s journey took him through the harrowing landscapes of Fallujah, Baghdad, and Saqlawia from 2003 to 2007. Alongside his fellow Marines, he faced unimaginable challenges, witnessing both the sacrifices made on the battlefield and the lasting scars left by war.
LCpl Hook’s service exemplifies the spirit of sacrifice and dedication that defines our armed forces. Despite the heavy toll of combat, he continues to embody resilience and strength, striving to overcome the physical and emotional wounds of his service.
This year, LCpl Hook was nominated for Operation Woosah by his loved ones, who shared the profound impact his service has had on their lives. We were deeply moved by LCpl Hook’s story and knew that we had to rally together as a community to support him in return.
We were happy to donate all of the materials for the project, ensuring that LCpl Hook’s dream became a reality. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of Wes Smith of Garrett Enterprises and Associates LLC who donated his time and skills, we’ve been able to make LCpl Hook’s dream a reality.
From the Cambridge 3 pc in Toffee Onyx to the Maytrx wall in Toffee Onyx, every detail of this project has been carefully crafted to create a sanctuary for LCpl Hook and his family. And with Wes Smith’s expertise, additional enhancements like the driveway refresh, gutter downspout burial, and tree removal have truly elevated the space to new heights.
We cannot express enough gratitude to Wes Smith of Garrett Enterprises for his unwavering dedication. Together, we’ve made a meaningful difference in the life of a true American hero.
